Tomilola John

Tomilola John is a project coordinator in the research and programs department at Women’s Health in Women’s Hands Community Health Centre. Through this role, she works with community members, researchers, advocates, and services providers to engage, empower and support survivors of female genital mutilation/cutting and other forms of gender-based violence through various activities and deliverables.

As a member of this study’s Community Guidance Group, Tomilola aims to positively contribute to developing improved support strategies and resources (i.e., educational workshops) that consider the multi-layers and cultural diversity that shape the impact of domestic violence in Black communities. Tomilola enjoys reading, and watching documentaries as she is always looking for new things to learn about.
