African Canadian Civic Engagement Council (ACCEC)

The African Canadian Civic Engagement Council (ACCEC) is a Black-founded, owned, and led organization established in 2022. While ACCEC is based in Edmonton, Alberta, their services are available in various Canadian provinces. This organization is multifaceted, as it generates advocacy, research and policy analysis, and directs services for communities of African descent. A specific program of ACCEC is the Women & Gender-based Violence Prevention Program, which provides Black women with legal, mental, housing, and financial support
