The Caribbean African Canadian Social Services (CAFCAN) is a not-for-profit organization that is centered around strengthening social services and making them accessible for African Canadian families and children. CAFCAN provides exclusive membership services (e.g., legal support and crisis counselling) to African-Canadian or Caribbean persons and their families involved in various forms of violence. CAFCAN offers Violence Against Women Services, which provides Black women who are survivors of violence and human trafficking with assistance in parenting, navigating the legal system, house searching, and safety planning. CAFCAN also provides a support program, OUCH! That hurts, for Black women and their children who are experiencing various forms of violence, including intimate partner/domestic violence.
